M78

M 78 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. Discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1780 [1] it is the brightest of its kind [2].

M45 - Pleiades


The Pleiades are mostliely the most prominet open cluster on the northern hemisphere. Bright and very clearly visible to the naked eye this cluster has been known under a wide variety of names to cultures around the world (see [1]), where Subaru or the "Seven Sisters" are the most well known. The area is dominated by several very hot, blue stars. adding to the beauty is the faint reflection of a dust cloud..
