M1 and NC2264 online
Crappy weather and a lot of work did result in an astronomy dry spell of 4 months. Thanks to iTelescope at least remot imaging was possible. |
It's done
The rework of the gallery toc section is done - by planly eliminating it and moving the calendar to the gallery section. And while I did that my fiancee did our wedding site - pretty cool. |
Site rework
I added a sun and a moon section. I definitely have to redo the TOC section of the gallery. Its plainly tedious |
Occultation of Jupiter by the moon coming
And I'm in fll preparation. Isn't it nice, that some astronomical events are friendly enough to happen during the weekend in your neighbourhod ;) |
Transit of Venus and new pages
I finished the transit of Venus pages and also added a sun and a moon page for collecting detail pictures, like sun spots and lunar details. Still have to populate them with content, but that will work out as time goes by. |
Nice start into spring
I had a really nice start into the spring observation season. Not only that I had some chance to do some observation in March, late April and May provided awesome wheather. And I got a new toy to play with, a DBK 21 from The Imaging Source - Simply awesome! So, what's new: I got nice shots from M45, M78 and M108. I did some sun observation whre I was lucky to observe really big active regions. And well, some planetary imaging done during the Austrian Astronomy Day at the Lower Austrian Public Observatory (NOe Volkssternwarte - Verein Antares), where we welcomed more than 200 visitors. The seeing was terrible, but the people got a nice impression of the procedures. What's next: I'm preparing for the Venus transit! Till then. |
Months and months without observation
More than three months without observing opportunities wreck my nerves a little bit. On the other hand: I implemented a weather station and updates about the weateheer situation at my obersvation site. |
Changed links to Antares website
The Antares website, which is the homepage of the lower Austrian public observatory, has been changed to noestern.wax.at. So I changed the links at my page as well. Have a look, come by, we enjoy company and try to transfer our knowledge and enthusiasm for astronomy to a broader audience. |
September/October highlights
Late september and early october was a real treat. Several new images have been made, including my fist long focal ration Jupiter image. Also new images of M76, IC1805 and some other stuff. That will be it for the next two months |
